Bottom line: You want your resume to look like you, not like every other person that downloaded a sample resume to fill in. By answering these questions specifically, you will choose the best parts of your career history that hiring managers and recruiters want to know about you. You will demonstrate that you have a terrific track record-and you will show how you can hit the ground running on your first day of work.

Resume Format

Resume templates can, on the other hand, help you choose a format your resume. If you have a great career history without significant gaps, find a reverse-chronological sample of a business resume. If you are changing careers, find a functional-hybrid resume template.
